The Kiwanis Club of Coeur d’Alene is a community-focused service organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and strengthening families across North Idaho. As part of the global Kiwanis family, our club brings together individuals who share a common desire to serve, lead, and make a positive local impact. Through hands-on volunteer work, financial support for community programs, and partnerships with area nonprofits, we strive to meet real needs and create lasting change.
Our club is especially committed to supporting youth through Service Leadership Programs such as Key Club and Aktion Club, as well as scholarships, literacy initiatives, and community events that encourage growth and opportunity. Members regularly volunteer at projects ranging from food distributions and fundraisers to family-friendly events that bring people together. By combining time, talent, and resources, we help strengthen the organizations and programs that make our community thrive.
Beyond service, the Kiwanis Club of Coeur d’Alene is a place where friendships grow and community connections deepen. Members enjoy welcoming meetings, engaging speakers, and social activities that make serving together both meaningful and fun. Whether working on a project or sharing a laugh at a club gathering, we are united by a shared commitment to service, fellowship, and improving the world one child and one community at a time.

Meetings
The Kiwanis Club of Coeur d’Alene meets weekly at noon on Wednesdays at Mackenzie River Pizza Co. in Coeur d’Alene. These gatherings provide an opportunity to share a meal, enjoy fellowship, and tend to the ongoing business that keeps our club active and effective in serving the community.
The first meeting of each month is typically a Business Meeting, where members review Grant Requests, discuss upcoming projects, and plan club initiatives. On the final Wednesday of the month, we often trade our lunchtime gathering for an evening social. These dinner meetings at local restaurants offer a relaxed setting to connect, share laughs, and strengthen friendships, with only occasional club business on the agenda.
Mid-month meetings usually feature Guest Speakers from local charitable organizations who share insights into their missions and community impact. These presentations not only keep members informed but also open the door to meaningful partnerships that expand our collective ability to serve.
If you represent a local nonprofit and are interested in speaking at a future meeting, we invite you to reach out through our Contact Us page.
The Kiwanis Mission & Vision
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children. Kiwanis strives to be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive. Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through Kiwanis Community Service Projects.
Kiwanis Service
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.
